I recently purchased at Amazon.com a Golf Chipper HX-9 Chipping Wedge Golf Club. It has a steel shaft and a heavy club head. It is well balanced and makes it easier for me to hit chips that are 70 yards or less to the cup. It is very useful in chip and run situations. It has taken strokes off my game. I now chip close enough to the cup that I can hole out in one putt several times a round. I am very satisfied with this chipper and recommend it highly. Have used this club during 5 rounds now and I am becomming very impressed with it. I have only used it within 20 yards or so of the pin because that is the weakest part of my game. Haven't tried it out past 20 yards, but I have to say that with a very simple putting stroke and my wrists broken forward just a bit and the ball towards the back of my stance, this club gets the ball up and over the low rough/first cut and onto the green with a nice bit of roll after landing. I get a MUCH better result with this club than my pitching wedge from that distance. Less to think about...just putt!! PS - I am a woman (5ft 4in) so the club was a little long for me but if I choke up on it about an inch it works perfectly!
